Fazenda Praline

Located in the scenic region of Alta Mogiana near Cássia dos Coqueiros. Spanning 300 hectares, with 180 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation, this farm exemplifies the region’s rich potential for high-quality coffee production. Fazenda Santa Jucy stands out for its dedication to sustainability and innovative farming practices, upheld by a family tradition of excellence. The farm’s high altitude of 1000 to 1100 masl, combined with fertile lands and careful management, ensures consistent production of exceptional coffee varieties.

History
André is the son of coffee farmers and grew up hearing about farm management, but he chose to pursue a career as an economist for many years. 7 years ago he was drawn into the family coffee business to help his father with new expansion projects and since then he has been introducing new management models to the family properties, making the business increasingly solid and robust.

Current
Fazenda Santa Jucy has undergone significant advancements in recent years, combining traditional farming knowledge with modern agricultural practices. The implementation of an 80% drip irrigation system ensures precise water management, promoting the healthy growth of coffee plants while reducing water usage. The farm utilizes a mix of mechanical harvesting for mature trees and manual harvesting for younger crops, maintaining efficiency without compromising quality. With a commitment to continuous improvement, Fazenda Santa Jucy is well-positioned to produce exceptional coffee that reflects the richness of the Alta Mogiana region.

Environment & Social
At Fazenda Santa Jucy, sustainability and community welfare are at the heart of its operations. Certified by the Rainforest Alliance, the farm employs soil conservation techniques and organic fertilizers to preserve the land’s fertility and protect the ecosystem. Seven families reside on the farm, forming a close-knit community that contributes to its success. Through sustainable practices and a dedication to responsible farming, Fazenda Santa Jucy not only produces premium coffee but also fosters a positive impact on both the environment and the people who call it home.

Our coffee is treated with care

Meticulous Quality

We hope to provide our customers with the best and therefore pay close attention to all factors affecting the quality of our coffee. These include cultivar, growing altitude, climate, soil chemistry, harvesting and processing conditions, drying method, storage conditions, transportation, roasting conditions, grind size, brewing water and brewing recipes.

Highly Curated

Each one of our coffees is carefully selected by our roasting team. Before we buy in bulk, we go through many samples from different specialty coffee estates. Often times we are working with the most renowned coffee producers in the world.

Small Batch Roasting

All our coffee is roasted in our Roastery in Westbahnstraße 13, in Vienna. We roast small batches (10kg max) because we have better control over all the parameters that impact the flavour profile and can therefore better guarantee consistency.

Ethically Sourced

We ensure traceability for all our coffees. Our house Espresso from Nicaragua is directly traded without any middle-men and when we go through a wholesaler, complete transparency is a must. We want to provide our customers with the ability to know where their coffee comes from down to the name of each farmer.
